Google has given us a fantastic tool in the form of Google Maps. These can be embedded in your website, and with a database can be populated with locations or even shapes. Take a look at these examples and make sure you click on some of the points to see what the popup info windows look like:
WSFMA – shows all of the farmer’s markets belonging to the association.
White Pass Byway – lists points of interest and lodging
Chinook Scenic Byway – points of interest, campgrounds and other features. Notice the yellow line that highlights the byway and the unique icon used for different activities.
